In those days on campus, we had some lecturers that would threaten us with failure. One of them in particular would come to the class and say; “No matter what you do some of you will fail this course.” He kept telling us that even while writing his paper in the exam hall. But I kept insisting; “I have passed this course, no matter what.”
Friend, God wants your life to be Covenant Compliant. But for this to happen you have got a role to play; it is to work the covenant. The fight of faith is not a warfare against witches and wizards as some of us might have thought. It is a fight to remain in faith, believing that your life will comform to what God has said in His word.
Fight the good fight of faith by insisting on the Covenant (1 Timothy 6:12). Most times, the circumstances around you would negate the reality of God’s word concerning you. You are not supposed to bow to the circumstances but to insist that the circumstances should bow to you; you are to force the circumstances to conform to the Covenant.
The Covenant here talks about all that have been made available for you in Christ via His death and resurrection. It is what the shed blood of Christ has ushered you into. However, it is one thing to have the Covenant established based on what Christ has done, it is another thing for you to make it yours practically (Romans 4:20).
You need to keep standing on the word of God and the promise of scriptures until it becomes a reality in your life (Revelation 12:11, Easy English Version). Your word of testimony is the voice you are giving to what Christ has done for you. You are testifying of what the blood of Jesus has accomplished for you.
Insist on total health in Christ even when the head is banging (2 Peter 2:18). Insist on wealth in the face of lack (2 Corinthians 8:9). Insist that you are blessed in Christ even in the face of reports of ancestral curses (Galatians 3:13-14). Insist on the Covenant; stand your ground on the finished work of Christ until the blessings of it are yours. Amen!
