She was moving here and there on the campus trying to put things in place. So I asked her; “What are you up to?” She responded that she was planning the social night for the student union, being the social director. I told her; “Use that platform for God. Don’t do what others before you did. Be different.” She got the message.

Friend, use your platform for God. That is the purpose of platforms; they must be used to advance God’s plan and purpose. Your influence is God’s influence, your platform is God’s platform. God wants to shine through your light and reign through your position (Matthew 5:13-16). What are you going to do? Further God’s kingdom or frustrate it?

Use your platform for evangelism. Whereas, pastors and pulpit ministers have their pulpits in Church, members of the Church have their pulpits in the world; their workplaces, families, campuses and everywhere they go. The job of pastors and ministers is to equip the saints for the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12). This ministry is done outside the Church.

The reason a lot of Christians would not do any or much ministry for God is this idea that they don’t have time. They are always busy with work, business etc. But the very thing you claim to be busy with is the very platform for ministry. Stop looking for free time. Redeem the time (Ephesians 5:16, 2 Timothy 4:1-2). Aquila and Priscilla used their vocation as platform for ministry (Acts 18:1-4).

Make evangelism a lifestyle. The early disciples went everywhere preaching the word. They experienced signs, wonders and miracles even in marketplaces (Mark 16:20). You would not know how anointed you are until you maximize ministry platforms out there. Don’t wait for a special time to evangelise. Make Christ known in your sphere of operation.

Ministry is where people are. You can reach more people than pastors do (Acts 6:1-8). Whereas, most pastors are limited to the size of their congregation, you have unlimited and unrestricted access to people. Use your platform for God. Be passionate about making God known everywhere. Let God see reasons to promote or give you influence in life (Daniel 6:1-3).
