I remember vividly the day my final year project supervisor flung my project work out of his office. It was a discouraging moment for me and my course mates. That day, I picked up my materials and told my friends; “I have an A in this course already no matter what.” They all looked at me with surprise. It turned out exactly how I said it. I used my mouth correctly.

Friend, use your mouth correctly. When next someone says you are mouthed, simply that person that Jesus gave it to you (Luke 21:15). In this kingdom, if you don’t have mouth, you would end up in the mouth of the enemy. He would eat you for lunch. You are saved by your confession, and you will be safe by your confession (Romans 10:10).

You can be saved and not safe. Grace saves you, but faith will keep you safe (Ephesians 2:8). Your safety lies in the way you use your mouth (Psalms 17:4, 2 Corinthians 4:13). If you use your mouth wrongly, you would end in the wrong place. Until the devil succeeds in hijacking your mouth, he cannot hijack your destiny. Let God take over your mouth.

It is better to keep quiet than to speak wrongly (Psalms 34:12-13). Zachariah almost used his mouth to cancel divine plan and purpose but for his deafness and dumbness (Luke 1:18-20). Where have you used your mouth to cancel God’s plan and purpose for your life? For most people, it is not the devil that is stopping them. It is their mouth.

You cannot continue to speak negatively and hope to have a positive outcome (Mark 11:23). Your life will always follow the direction of your mouth. You need to have a sanctified mouth if you want to live the supernatural life (Proverbs 18:21). It does not matter what the devil or situation says. What matters is what you say. Your mouth can either cancel a negative situation or enforce it. Use your mouth correctly.

There are no casual statements in the realm of the spirit (Ecclesiastes 5:6). This is why you need to train and discipline yourself to speak positively anytime and every time. Practise speaking positively where there are no consequences, and you would have prepared that mouth for defining moments. Use your mouth correctly (Psalms 107:2). Amen.
