“Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future”. This is one of the numerous quotes by the famous Irish poet and playwright, Oscar Wilde. And it best describes the motivation that should undergird our efforts at reaching out to lost souls out there. This is why the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is very crucial at this point in history.

“I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation” (Romans 1:16). The gospel of Christ does not bring power, it is the power! The force of the Kingdom is released when the gospel is shared. This is why the devil wants to keep you mute and hinder you from experiencing this power.

You need to overcome shame, fear and inferiority complex if you would herald the gospel of the Kingdom. Shame says, the gospel is not worth it (Romans 1:16). Fear says, you don’t have what it takes (Jeremiah 1:8), while inferiority complex says, you are not worthy (1 Timothy 4:12). But none of this is true (1 Corinthians 1:23-29).

Our world is in dire need of the gospel of our Lord Jesus more than ever before. The salvation of mankind is not in the hands of the government. The release of men from the bondages of the devil is not in social intervention program. True change comes when men encounter the saving knowledge of Christ (Romans 1:16, 2 Corinthians 3:18).

Not every message is the gospel of Christ. The gospel of Christ is the gospel of God’s love for humanity and the sacrifice of His Son to save them. It is the message of forgiveness of sins and peace with God (Romans 5:1-2). It is justification, not condemnation (Romans 5:16-17). It is good news, not bad news. It is gospel of peace, not of war or hatred. It is the message of love.

The gospel is the power of God to save people, shift cultures and bring solutions that impact humanity. Partake of this power today by giving your life to Jesus if you have not. Use every available platform to share the gospel to the world, beginning with your immediate environment – your Jerusalem (Acts 1:8). Herald the gospel today and have power-full day ahead! Amen!
