A man of God attended a Christian association meeting where churches were being levied according to their sizes. Unfortunately, their church was put in the least category, more like small, struggling churches. He said something in him refused that categorisation. He told them, “Give us the same bill as the mega churches.” He trusted God to meet up, and they did. He refused smallness.
Friend, you need to have the mindset of greatness. You need to refuse smallness. While it is good to start small, God never intends that you remain small. Smallness is anti-covenant. Every seed of Abraham is ordained to be great (Genesis 12:2, Jeremiah 30:19). But until you refuse smallness, the devil would do everything possible to keep you small.
Greatness begins with a mindset (Proverbs 23:7). It is about how you see yourself and God’s plan for your life. The truth is, God does not see you small (Jeremiah 29:11). He does not see you as a weakling. This is why God often speaks about our potential and possibilities, not our problems (Judges 6:11-14).
While greatness is not only about size, we should realize that God wants us to be great. According to God, a little one among us should be a thousand and a small one, a strong nation (Isaiah 60:22). The least in our kingdom is a champion in the world (Zechariah 12:8). Greatness is in our DNA.
Every kingdom product is ordained to be global, eternal, and generational (Isaiah 60:15). We are to start from Jerusalem, but we are not to be confined to it. Our destiny is the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8). The principle is to start local but to think global; to start small but to think and grow big (Mark 4:30-32). Refuse smallness in your personal life, career, business, and ministry.
Refusing smallness also has to do with making choices that would set you on course for greatness. Don’t accept where people have placed you. Don’t use your mouth to reduce the size of your destiny (Proverbs 12:14). Don’t watch people choose your limit when you can break limits and set new records (Isaiah 54:17, Micah 7:11). Refuse smallness. You need the mindset of greatness.
