I read somewhere online when a man of God said that even his biological mother always goes on her kneels when greeting him. He said this to communicate his worth and how much his mum honours God’s grace upon his life. I simply told myself; “Any success or grace that will make my biological mum to go on her kneels when greeting me, I don’t want it.” We need to learn how to handle success.

Friend, don’t let success be a trap for you. Rather, see it as a trust. Beware of success transmitted diseases. Not many people can stand to be blessed. Not many people can handle the weight of success. Not many people can handle the privilege of success without misbehaving (Luke 2:51-52).

Are you going to move to the next level of success with God, or would you truncate your journey with God by the way you are handling this present level? You need intimacy with God and accountability to the right relationships to keep yourself from falling victim to STDs. Intimacy with God would keep you humble and broken (Philippians 3:10-14).

When God shows you what He still has in store for you, you would handle your present level with care and caution (1 Corinthians 2:9-10). Having the right people that you are accountable to is priceless on your road to fulfilling destiny (1 Samuel 3:1-11). Do you have a few people in your life who can call you to order when you are losing your head?

Is there still someone in your life who can call you by your first name and talk sense into you when you assume greatness (2 Samuel 12:7-15)? I know you are now a business mogul, but do you still keep yourself close to accountability relationships? Now that you are married, are you still submitted to the right authority structures?

Now that the ministry is booming and the impact is speaking everywhere, do you still put a high priority on your intimacy with God? Do you still have people in your life who can put you to check? The higher you go in life, the more you need intimacy with God and voices of accountability in your life (Esther 4:12-14). You need to learn how to succeed with success.
