Recently, at our weekly online Bible study class that I convene, I asked the students to share their understanding of how to decipher struggle from process. I got many responses from different people. But the bottom line is that many people don’t know when they are struggling and when they are simply going through a divine process.

Friend, you need to know the difference between struggle and process (2 Corinthians 4:7-18). Actually, progress with God is being where He wants you to be per time. It is not first about motion or action. It is about accuracy. If God wants you to stop, it is still progress even when people think you are stagnant. If you are moving fast outside of God’s will, it is never progress even when people are celebrating your arrival (Proverbs 14:12).

You need to learn how to be content with being where God wants you to be, no matter how unpopular or unenjoyable it might seem (Philippians 4:11-13). If you don’t get married to God’s program and process for you, you would be courting the devil without knowing. The frustration that some people are facing today is unnecessary if only they can discern God’s will for them (Jeremiah 10:23).

There are things that God will deliver you from. But there are things He would empower you to go through (Isaiah 43:2). Knowing the difference of the two is the secret of peace and contentment in serving the Lord. May you not be delivered from what you are meant to go through! If God did not spare Jesus, I pray that He won’t spare you, too (Romans 8:32).

A life of struggle is a life of satanic contribution or human negligence. People struggle when the devil is on their case (Zechariah 3:1). People also struggle when they neglect their duties and responsibilities in life (Proverbs 15:19). Check if it is not your negligence or demonic activity that is bringing the struggle or suffering you are going through. Bind and loose where necessary. Pray for clarity and direction.

A divine process is crucial for the fulfilment of your destiny (Psalms 66:10-12). Most times, a divine process won’t be easy on your flesh. It may even look like you are suffering. But you know that you are under the mighty hand of God, and He would exalt you in due season (1 Peter 5:6).
Resist the devil. Submit to God’s process. You will succeed.
