A man of God shared a testimony of how he ministered to a lady who had breast cancer. According to him; “When the lady came out for ministration, I just crossed her breast and declared her healing. Instantly, she was healed.” While everyone clapped in excitement, an older minister seated in the auditorium kept thinking; “Does he have to cross the lady’s breast to minister healing?”

Friend, learn to set the right boundaries around your life. Always remember that you don’t have an anointed flesh. The flesh would always betray the unsuspecting, ignorant, and careless Christian (Proverbs 7:7). This is one truth that you need to take heed to in your journey of sexual purity and fulfilment of destiny. Especially those who think they are mature in the things of the Spirit, this truth must sink.

The higher you go spiritually, the more you need to put your flesh under (1 Corinthians 9:27). Never confuse spiritual growth for sexual purity. Most times, the more spiritual you are, the more vulnerable you tend to be sexually or emotionally. The more anointed you are, the more you are likely to forget the basic disciplines around the opposite sex (Judges 14:1-3).

Any spiritual activity that affects you emotionally or sexaully is a satanic4 trap in disguise (Galatians 5:1). If having the opposite sex as a prayer partner is endangering you emotionally, you need to quit. I don’t think you would go far having the opposite sex as a prayer partner except if the person is your spouse (not even fiance/fiancĂ©e). People who do this are already giving the devil a foothold in their lives (Ephesians 4:27).

The anointing of the Holy Spirit rests on your spirit, not your flesh. At best, the anointing of the Holy Spirit is to help you tame your flesh. It does not make your flesh immune to sexual sins. You are not yet a spiritually mature person until you are able to subdue the flesh (Galatians 5:16-17). You should be able to use the strength of your spirit and your knowledge of scriptures to discipline your flesh (Psalms 119:9-11).

The new creation is not without law; he is only operating by a higher law (Romans 8:1-2). If you give the excuse of being a new creation as a reason for being lawless and careless, then the devil is on your case (Galatians 5:13). You are not pure until you are sexually pure, and you cannot be sexually pure until you have some boundaries you are operating by (Job 31:1). Those boundaries are not to bind you but to keep you sane. Is this clear enough?
