One revered man of God was asked the secret of the abundant provisions in their ministry. His answer was simple, yet profound; “We don’t embark on any project unless it is commanded by God. Provision follows vision. That is why it is called pro-vision.” I got a valuable lesson about provision.

Friend, God’s provision in your life is tied to His vision for your life (Philippians 4:19). There are people who are looking for provisions, but there are people provisions are looking for. Goodness and mercy are supposed to follow us as we follow God’s vision for our lives (Psalm 23:1-6).

When you are in pursuit of your divine purpose, God will sponsor your habits (Ephesians 3:20). You will stop begging God to do things. He will be committed to doing beyond your imagination. Ultimately, God is not just committed to your life. He is committed to His purpose for your life (Isaiah 46:10-11).

How to know that the vision that you are running with is wrong or ill-timed is to check the provisions that are following that vision (Luke 15:16-19). God’s work done in God’s way will never lack God’s resources. If you are getting into debt or having sleepless nights because of what you call divine vision, you may need to check again (Psalm 127:1-2).

One of the reasons you have to build your life and destiny according to pattern is so as to secure the commitment of God (Exodus 25:40). Moses enjoyed more than enough provisions because he built according to the pattern or vision that was given to him on the mountain (Habakkuk 2:1-4).

Stop running another man’s vision (Acts 26:19, 22). Stop asking God to sustain what He did not ordain. Get the vision right. Getting the vision right also has to do with getting the timing right. The vision is for an appointed time (Ecclesiastes 3:11, Habakkuk 2:3). If provisions are not coming yet, you might need to wait for the appointed time.
