I will never forget a major insight that I received from my father in the Lord years ago. He told us in a meeting that God will never allow a problem or challenge to confront you in ministry that He has not prepared or equipped you for. If God allows it, it means He knows you can handle it. That counsel has kept me focused and strong to date.
Friend, you are born for this season of your life (Esther 4:14). You can handle it. This is one truth you need to be reminded about. Sometimes, you may feel out of place. It might seem as if you are unfortunate to be at this time and season. But you need to always remember that God did not make a mistake to have allowed this season in your life (1 Corinthians 15:8-10). You are born for this.
I don’t know what you have faced or what you will still face in life. But rest assured that you can handle it. When I looked at the various seasons of life that I went through and how somehow I got through them strong and better, I know that God is intentional about my life and seasons (1 Corinthians 10:13). The problem, most times, is the attitude or disposition that you sustain.
If you have the wrong attitude towards your life and experiences, you are not likely to come out of it or go through it successfully (James 1:1-5). When you realise that Apostle Paul wrote most of his epistles in the prison, David wrote most of the Psalms in dire situations and that the Lord Jesus Christ endured the cross for you and me, then you would realise that you too can handle this season of your life (Hebrews 12:1-2).
For every season of your life, there is a blessing and a lesson. It depends on how you see it (Philippians 4:11-13, Hebrews 5:8). Sometimes, the blessing is in the lesson. This is why someone righty said that we don’t win or lose. We either win or learn. It is about perspective. Don’t miss the lesson in this season of your life. It is the lesson that would prepare you for what lies ahead.
Grace can either be theoretical or practical in your life. It can either be a principle or a person. It can either be an explanation or an experience (1 John 1:1-4). One of the blessings of navigating seasons is the opportunity to experience the wonders of grace. It is the opportunity you have to move from learning grace as a theory to experiencing it practically (1 Corinthians 15:10). What would you do with God’s grace today?
