During one of the sport news sessions, two of these famous boxers were shown parading themselves on the stage while staring at each other and making some noise. My younger daughter asked; “Daddy, why are they looking into each other and shouting?” I responded; “It’s part of the strategy of warfare; look straight up to your adversary and shout him down.”

Friend, life is a battle. Everyone that must fulfil destiny must be a fighter (2 Timothy 4:7). However, we are not fighting to win, we are fighting to retain our victory. We fight from victory, not for victory because we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37). This victory mentality must be your consciousness if you would stay on top of life’s circumstances.

Like the house of David, we must not allow life or the devil to wear us out; we must keep getting stronger (2 Samuel 3:1). We need toughness. We need perseverance. We need inner strength to stay on and go all the way. This is the plan of God for us as His Children. He wants us to go from strength to strength (Psalms 84:7). He has made us stronger than our enemies (Psalms 105:24).

The covenant is the factor for our victory (Acts 3:25). Covenant people don’t fail. This covenant mentality helped David as he faced Goliath (1 Samuel 17:26). No matter what may come your way, be more aware of your covenant stand with God and the unseen realities of divine backing that you have than the oppositions out there (2 Kings 6:16-17).

Refuse to be terrified by the adversary (Philippians 1:28). Rather, stay confident and encouraged in the fact that this shall turn out for your deliverance through prayers and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus. You will not be ashamed (Philippians 1:19-20).

Life is a battle of words. Learn to speak your victory constantly no matter the contrary sights and opinions; David spoke more words than Goliath (1 Samuel 17:42-50). Jesus has given you a mouth and a wisdom; learn to use it (Luke 21:15).
