I once heard the story of a man who was onboard an all-expense paid, first-class flight to another continent. As expected, refreshments were served on the flight, and everyone took theirs. However, this man feigned seriousness all through the flight, taking nothing. The man sitting next to him got bothered but decided to mind his business.

As they were about to alight, he summoned the courage to ask; “Sir, I noticed you were not taking anything throughout the flight. Hope all is well?” To his greatest surprise, the man responded; “I don’t have money for it.” Genuinely pained, he responded; “You don’t have to pay for it again. All has been fully paid for in the flight ticket!”

Friend, all that you will ever need for life and godliness have been fully paid for by Christ’s payment for your sin on the cross of calvary. When Christ paid the price for your sin, He also paid for every other thing you would need for life and destiny (2 Peter 1:3). It’s an all-expense paid offer! Some people believe that their sins are forgiven but find it difficult to believe the same for their healing and prosperity (2 Corinthians 8:9, 1 Peter 2:24).

It is amazing how we have the faith to believe for salvation but not for other blessings that it brings (Ephesians 2:8). Listen, salvation is the “hardest” thing for God to do even though it comes easy for us by simply confessing Jesus as our Lord and Saviour (Romans 8:32). If the hardest thing came cheap for you, why do you think it would be difficult to get the simpler things that came with it?

Contrary to what some people think, salvation came loaded with benefits, just like an all-expense paid trip; you don’t have to bother about those other little stuff (Psalms 103:2, Hebrews 6:9). The greatest problem any Christian can have is the problem of receiving. We must be taught HOW to receive, not only what to receive.

All that Christ went through was for us, not for Him He received for us power, wisdom, riches, healing, strength, etc., not for Himself (Revelation 5:12). We have got an inheritance by the virtue of Christ’s finished work. All you need is to know what it is and to be taught how to receive it. What God gives by grace, we receive by faith (Ephesians 2:8, 2 Peter 1:3).
