I wrote my Senior School Certificate Examination in a school where failure was the norm. Most people did not want to write their exams in that school. I remember telling myself; “It does not matter what is happening around here, I would pass my exams in flying colours according to God’s word.” I had to superimpose what is written on what was happening. God’s word is settled.

Friend, God’s word is settled in your life. You must learn to address what is happening in the light of what is written. What is happening is what you are going through at the moment, but what is written is what God has said and concluded about your life and destiny. When what is happening contradicts what is written, you need to rise up and superimpose what is written on what is happening.

The word of God is settled (Psalms 119:89). It is already determined, decided, and concluded in your favour, irrespective of what would show up later. You need to know what has been settled as far as your life is concerned so that nothing can unsettle you. What is settled is what Christ has accomplished on the cross for you (Romans 8:37).

What is settled are the promises of God spoken generally in scriptures and also spoken personally to you (2 Corinthians 1:20). What is settled are the things that have to do with your prophetic destiny (Matthew 26:24, Ephesians 1:11). When you know your prophetic destiny, you would not be disturbed by what is happening around you (Genesis 50:20, Romans 8:28).

It is not enough to know what is written; you must learn to enforce it to make it your reality (Psalms 149:9). Jesus found out what was written concerning Him in Isaiah, and He was able to reintroduce Himself to His world even in the midst of contradictions (Luke 4:17-21). The battle against the devil is not a battle of emotions. It is a battle of covenants. You need to be covenant minded. What is written is your potent weapon of victory (Luke 4:4, 8).

Acquaint yourself with what has been written. Don’t be an ignorant child of God (2 Corinthians 2:11). Don’t be mesmerised by what the devil or life is throwing at you (Philippians 1:28). Superimpose what is written on what is happening in your health, marriage, finance, career, business, ministry, etc. (Psalms 149:9). God’s word is settled. Amen!
