A young man seeking university admission felt disappointed by people he thought could help him. His pastor encouraged him to depend on God instead of men. As he entered the university, he met a man whom he helped to get to the admission office. The man presented the young man’s document alongside his son’s. Despite the man having a prior connection there, God’s favour led to the young man securing the last available slot.

Friend, God has planted people in places for you (Psalm 18:43). You need to know God before you know men. When you know God, He would connect you with the men you need to know. Your net worth is not always determined by your network if your network does not include God. God is the ultimate network that will connect you with other relevant networks (Isaiah 46:10-11).

God is omnipresent. He is present everywhere (Psalm 46:1). Therefore, wherever you cannot go, God is there for you. Whichever office you cannot enter, God has entered there for you. Indeed, God has planted people in places for you. Most times, the help of God eludes people because they put their trust in man (Jeremiah 17:5-8).

Be careful who and what you put your trust in, God might take it away (Isaiah 6:1). God does not share His glory with any man. He is all that you need, and He’s more than enough. One of the reasons God allows disappointments is to direct your focus and trust from man to Himself (Isaiah 26:3-4). With God, you cannot be disappointed, and when you seem disappointed, a blessing is coming out of it.

The place of prayer is the place of help. The truly helpless man is the man who does not pray. In prayer, you obtain grace to help in times of need (Hebrews 4:15-16). In prayers, men are mobilised, and angels are put to work on your behalf. It is not your words or look that move men. It is the supernatural power of God working for and with you (Esther 6:1).

Help is waiting for you in the place of prayer. But would you dare pray? I know you have run here and there, but will you run to God (Psalm 121:1-2)? Will you make Him your only and ultimate help? Will you shift your focus from men to Him? Will you come to that point where until God helps you, you cannot be helped (1 Chronicles 12:18)? When you get to this point, difficult things become easy. You enjoy unusual favour. Amen!
