A young footballer wanted to be like the team’s star player. So he studied him. The star arrived hours before training and left hours after everyone had gone. The teammate said, “I can’t match his energy.” That was the difference. The star was fully devoted.
Friend, are you fully devoted? Many people are not devoted to what they do (1 Kings 20:40). That’s why only a few truly succeed. If you want to fulfil your purpose, you must move from interest to devotion. Interest starts things. Devotion finishes them (John 8:31-32). Staying power is born in devotion.
Devotion demands focus. You cannot be devoted if you are distracted by what others are doing (Song of Solomon 1:6). Success comes when you separate distractions from destiny. Stop comparing. Stop copying. Face your assignment and give it your full attention. That’s where excellence is built (Proverbs 22:29).
If you have time for every gossip and every online argument, you are not busy enough (1 Timothy 1:4). Like Jesus, refuse to get involved in matters outside your assignment (Luke 12:13-14). Devoted people don’t have time for everything. They protect their time because they value their calling. Guard your focus jealously.
The proof that you have encountered God is your daily lifestyle (Acts 26:19). You only have time for what God sent you here to do. Devoted men have vision and conviction. They don’t look back. They don’t compare. They keep pressing (Philippians 3:12-14). They are not looking for arrival. They are pursuing assignment.
How many hours do you give to your craft daily (Luke 12:49-50)? How long have you honed your gift? You cannot sow little commitment and expect big results (1 Timothy 4:15). When you give yourself wholly to God and to your work, your progress will be evident to all. Be fully devoted. That’s where results live.
