My younger daughter has this interesting habit. Any time she has a cut or wound on any part of her body, she would come to me for prayers. After prayers, she would then say; “My mummy will put Ori (Shea butter).” She has learnt to release her faith for healing while not denying the fact on her body.

Friend, a man of faith does not deny the facts. He only ensures that he is not ruled by the facts. Facts are connected to our physical senses; what we see, hear, feel, etc., faith is connected to God’s word, a higher dimension of sense beyond the physical. While our physical senses are a form of evidence, we must learn to superimpose superior evidence, which is God’s word, on life’s circumstances (Hebrews 11:1).

Train yourself to never be ruled by the circumstances around you. This is what it means to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). You must understand that what you see around you that negates God’s promises, plans, and purposes as provided by the scriptures is not true. The word of God is what defines what is truth for us (John 17:17).

When you circumstances seem to run contrary to God’s word, take God’s word and superimpose it on them. For example, you may have financial challenges at the moment, but the truth is that all your needs are supplied according to the riches of His glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). You need to receive this as your reality.

One way to live a healthy life is to learn to look away from the condition in your body to the healing and health made available for you via the finished work of Christ (Isaiah 53:1-5). You would look like what you look at. Rather than constantly looking at that condition of ill heath, you can choose to look at the sacrifice of Jesus for your health (Numbers 21:9, Romans 4:19-20).

Guard your heart against wrong relationships (Proverbs 4:23). Don’t company with mockers. Sensual people must also be avoided. These are people who always look at stuff from the realm of the physical senses (2 Corinthians 4:18, Jude 1:17-20). Build relationships with people who sharpen your faith and help you achieve supernatural results (Mark 2:3-5, 2 Corinthians 1:24). You will succeed!
