Years ago, a deadly outbreak swept through a city. People were dying daily. The fear in the air was thick, and everyone asked, “Who is next?” But in prayer, the Lord told His servant: “They may not know who is next, but they know who is not next. You are not next.” That word became a shield. It kept God’s people safe from the destroyer.
Friend, don’t cross path with the destoyer. Your safety in this world is tied to the Word of God in your mouth (Psalm 17:4). In this kingdom, we don’t confess what we see. We declare what we want to see. Your situation is not stronger than your confession. God gave us His Word for dominion. A closed mouth leads to a closed destiny.
Three things can bring destruction to a person: the attack of the devil, the schemes of men, and your own mistakes. To live in safety this season, you must place all three under the authority of God’s Word. You must speak God’s verdict over every situation until it overrides what the enemy is saying.
There is the path of the destroyer, and there is the path of the blesser (Psalm 17:4, Hebrews 7:1,7). Many people wander into the path of the destroyer without knowing. Failure happens when your path crosses the destroyer. Success happens when your path crosses the blesser. Choose your path with your words.
You must learn to use God’s Word to shape your reality. Salvation is by grace, but safety is by the Word. When your confession contradicts the covenant, you block what God wants to do for you (Isaiah 54:17). Put Scripture on your lips daily. Speak life, health, and protection until it becomes your experience.
In times like these, what you say about your God matters most (Psalm 91:2). It doesn’t matter what the economy or politics look like. Is He your healer? Say it. Is He your Defender? Say it. Is He your Shepherd? Say it. Is He your Provider? Say it. The devil fears your testimony. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so (Psalm 107:2)! Amen.
