DON’T BE CARELESS WITH THE OPPOSITE SEX

A minister once shared how he prayed for a woman with breast cancer by placing his hand on her chest, and she got healed. While the crowd celebrated the miracle, an older minister quietly asked himself, “Must he touch her chest to minister healing?” Miracles are real, but wisdom is also needed.

Friend, don’t be careless with the opposite sex. Always remember, you do not have an anointed flesh. Your flesh can still fail you if you are ignorant, careless, or overconfident (Proverbs 7:7). This is a truth you must carry if you want to stay sexually pure and fulfil destiny.

Spiritual growth is not the same as sexual discipline. In fact, the more anointed you become, the more you need to keep your flesh under control (1 Corinthians 9:27). Samson was anointed, yet he kept visiting the wrong places (Judges 14:1-3). Anointing does not make you immune; it can expose you without knowing.

Any spiritual activity that begins to affect you emotionally or sexually is a trap in disguise (Galatians 5:1). If praying regularly with the opposite sex is stirring emotions, please stop. Unless the person is your spouse, having the opposite sex as a close prayer partner is risky. You may already be giving the devil a foothold (Ephesians 4:27).

The Holy Spirit dwells in your spirit, not in your flesh. His anointing is given to help you tame your flesh, not to excuse it (Galatians 5:16-17). True maturity is when your spirit, empowered by the Word, can bring your flesh under subjection (Psalm 119:9-11). You are not yet mature if you cannot control your flesh.

Being a new creation does not mean you are lawless; you are only living by a higher law (Romans 8:1-2). Don’t use grace as an excuse for carelessness (Galatians 5:13). You cannot claim purity without boundaries. Like Job, you must make a covenant with your eyes and your flesh (Job 31:1). Those boundaries are not to cage you but to keep you safe and sane.
