Back then on campus during a move of the Spirit, we had a slogan. After meetings, we would shout, “This is not Guinness. It is the Holy Ghost.” We meant the Holy Spirit has a better influence than alcohol. Today, we can say it differently: This is not Artificial Intelligence. It is Supernatural Intelligence.
Friend, there is an operation of the Holy Spirit that nothing else can give you (Acts 2:14-21). Men depend on alcohol or drugs to get high and perform better. We have something superior, godly, and legal. We have the Holy Spirit, our supernatural intelligence. Why then would a Christian trade this for lesser things (1 John 2:20, 27)?
The Holy Spirit is to us what Jesus was to His early disciples, and even more (John 16:7). He answered their questions, calmed the storm, provided supernaturally, and was their safety. Yet many believers today still feel stranded with the Spirit inside them. The problem is not His absence, but neglect of His presence (Ephesians 4:30).
Our greatest leverage in technology can become our greatest liability without balance (Jeremiah 2:13). We can trust Artificial Intelligence so much that we ignore the supernatural intelligence we have in the Holy Spirit. If we prompted the Holy Spirit as often as we prompt AI, we would have far greater clarity (Romans 8:14).
Supernatural intelligence is our advantage in life. Daniel, Joseph, and others tapped into a dimension of it and shook their world (Daniel 2:19-21). Daniel recovered the king’s dream and its interpretation, something no AI can do. Joseph interpreted Pharaoh’s dream and gave a solution to a global food crisis by this intelligence (Genesis 41:16).
Sometimes, you think you have other options besides the Holy Spirit until you are stuck (Proverbs 3:5). The genius of a 21st-century Christian is to maximize technology without minimizing the Holy Spirit. AI can tell you many things, but not who to marry or your true future. AI works with existing data, but the Holy Spirit searches the deep things of God (1 Corinthians 2:9-10).
