I was teaching in Church sometime ago where I told our folks that, “seasons of open doors are season where you need to be highly sensitive. Whereas God is working to bring you into His preordained plans and purposes, the devil is also working to take you out of God’s will for your life. You need to discern doors.” “…For a great door, an effectual is open unto me but there are many adversaries” (1 Corinthians 16:9).
Open Doors are opportunities for next level of progress and success. The difference between doors and walls is whether it is opened or closed. A closed door is not different from a wall since there is no passage way. God is able to convert walls to doors. He is able to convert stumbling blocks to stepping stones, obstacles to miracles.
Behind open doors are the invisible hands of God determining and controlling the opening. He is the one that “opens and no one can shut” (Revelation 3:7-8). One of the blessings of divinely opened doors is that no devil can shut it, except our folly, because when God opens a door, He removes the hinges.
Not all open doors are your doors. Not all open doors are from God. Some are from the devil and are meant to trap you and hinder you from partaking of divine doors. This is why you must learn to discern doors. Don’t be presumptuous. Don’t rush. Take your time to pray. Go for counsels where necessary. Ascertain the will of God before you jump at opportunities.
You need to expect a satanic fight against doors that would lead you into greatness. Actually, the greater the door, the greater the adversary. This is why it is not every opposition or difficulty that is a proof of wrong doors. Oppositions, most times, are proofs that you are in the will of God, they are proofs of your great position. If you do not meet with satanic opposition (opposite position) it may mean that you are going in the same direction with him, but when you are on the Lord’s side of progress and advancement, expect satanic fights.
The dual forces of prayers and wisdom are very critical to securing our doors open. While prayers keep the enemy at bay or incapacitated, wisdom empowers you to maximize such doors. A lot of people have been sent off their place of opportunities because of prayerlessness while a lot of people have closed great doors upon themselves because of lack of wisdom. You need to understand that what prayers brings into your life, wisdom will keep. May you enjoy divinely opened doors this season in Jesus name. You will succeed! Amen!
