I remember a young man who was angry at God because his prayer for a job went unanswered for three years. One day, he asked, “God, why are you doing this to me?” Months later, that same delay positioned him for a better role he never saw coming. Sometimes, what feels like abandonment is often God’s arrangement working for our good.

Friend, we must live with a conscience void of offence toward God and toward people (Acts 24:16). We must guard our hearts daily so we do not drift into offence while waiting on God (Proverbs 4:23). I know it is possible to feel offended at God. But God is never wrong, even when His ways are unclear to us.

Offence usually grows from a lack of understanding. Instead of staying offended, choose to seek understanding. (Proverbs 4:7). Instead of thinking God has cheated you because your life is not where you planned, ask for His perspective on the process (Psalms 27:14). Offence blinds us to divine purpose.

Do not misunderstand the fatherhood and faithfulness of God because of what your life looks like now. Come to Him in humility and ask the right questions (Luke 11:9). God is not wicked. God is not unfair. His thoughts and plans for you are good, and His ways are higher than ours (Jeremiah 29:11).

In seasons of silence, we must learn to trust God when we cannot trace Him (Proverbs 3:5). He is too faithful to fail you, and He will not mishandle your life. You are a divine project in God’s hands, and you will not be abandoned (Isaiah 49:15-16). God knows exactly what He is doing with you. When He is done, you will come out refined.

Do not allow offence toward God to take root in your heart. Do not get offended at people either (Matthew 11:1-6). Choose peace and assurance that God is with you and for you. Keep walking, keep trusting, and keep your heart free. You are being prepared and positioned for greatness. You will succeed.
