A dear daughter shared a testimony in Church during one of the festive seasons. She had been trusting God for a lot of things for the season. Suddenly, someone called her and asked; “What do you need for Christmas?” Immediately, she listed everything with their prices and sent it to the person. Within minutes, she received an alert on her phone; all were met and even more.

Friend, God will meet your needs this season. I understand that the season is demanding as well as expensive. But God is bigger than the season. He would definitely show up for you. Like the folks at the marriage at Cana of Galilee, you will not be disappointed. This season will be that of surplus and sweetness for you and family (John 2:1-11).

Humans cannot outclass God in goodness (Matthew 7:11). For us, goodness is an action, but for God, goodness is His nature. He cannot stop being good, especially to His children (Psalms 84:11, 85:12). If some humans can go the extramile for people, how much more God? You can trust Him.

The young lions have parent lions who can fend for them, yet they suffer hunger when the jungle is not smiling (Psalms 34:10). The strongest and smartest of people can still be without sustenance. But you and I can always rely on God. We may not be strong, smart, or brave, but we are led by the Shepherd who ensures that our needs are met (Psalms 23:1-6).

This season, write your list believing that God will meet them beyond your wildest imagination (Ephesians 3:20, Philippians 4:19). Don’t pity God; you cannot run Him dry. You cannot empty His account. Stop economizing grace. There is something called the riches of God’s glory in Christ Jesus. It is endless, boundless, and super abounding.

Just like David blessed Mephibosheth because of Jonathan’s sake, God is blessing you because of Christ (2 Samuel 9:1-13). You may not merit God’s blessings, but mercy would bring them to you. Don’t cut yourself off from the flow of God’s goodness. You qualify because of Grace. It is all because of Christ. Forward your list to God, receive of His fullness this season (John 1:16). You will not be stranded or disappointed. Amen!
