We were on the highway, and a young military officer stopped us. My wife said, “He’s so young.” I replied, “But the uniform he wears carries national authority.” We didn’t stop for the man. We stopped for what he represented. That’s exactly how the devil responds to you.
Friend, you have kingdom authority as a believer. It’s not about your size. It’s about your status. The devil doesn’t bow to your age, title, or strength. He bows to your position in Christ. Ephesians 2:6 says we’ve been raised up and seated with Christ far above principalities and powers. That must be your mindset if you want to rule on earth.
The smallest believer with correct understanding is more powerful than the strongest demon. We don’t cast out devils because we are pastors. We cast them out because we are sons (Mark 16:17). The devil is not a match for a Christian who knows who he is. Authority in the kingdom belongs to identity, not position.
Ignorance is dangerous in this kingdom (2 Corinthians 2:11). Being born again is the start, but you must be taught how to walk in authority (Hosea 4:6, Psalm 82:5-7). What the devil exploits is not your weakness. It’s your ignorance. Knowledge is what helps you enforce what Jesus already won (John 8:31-32).
You must learn to unmask the devil. He is not a lion. He is like a roaring lion (1 Peter 5:8). He roars, but he has no teeth. He’s a counterfeit. A clown in a lion costume. Children run from clowns. Grown people laugh and send them away. When you mature, you won’t run from the devil. You will run him out.
To cast out devils is to give them orders to leave (Mark 16:17). In your business, home, health, workplace, or city; you are to enforce the authority of the kingdom (Hebrews 11:32-34). The greater One lives in you. You are not a victim. You are a victor. Anytime. Any day (1 John 4:4). Use your authority.
