When the so-called “Sheepy” slang became popular a while ago, I wondered why people would easily give in to that distraction from hell. I thought people should know that they cannot be smarter than Jesus, who called us sheep. I taught that we are not called sheep because we are stupid, but because we follow leadership.
Friend, we are not called sheep because we are stupid, but because we follow leadership. The greatest need of man is leadership (Matthew 9:36). God often solves the problems of people by giving them the right leaders (Jeremiah 3:15). Everything rises and falls on leadership.
No matter how bad things might seem, when you come under the right leadership flow and align properly, things begin to take a new turn (1 Samuel 22:2). If the problem of those multitudes in the days of Jesus was not just hunger or nakedness but leadership, then you can rest assured that the same is the need of this age (Matthew 9:35-37).
The devil will always fight the right leadership in your life so that he can gain access. Right leadership puts the devil at bay, whereas the absence of leadership is an open invitation to the enemy in and around your life. (Acts 20:28-32). You need to come under the right leadership.
Let Jesus be your Lord, not just your Saviour; let Him direct your life and affairs (Psalm 23:1-6, Matthew 11:28-30). Let the Holy Spirit have His way in your life. This is the proof of sonship (Genesis 6:3, Romans 8:14, Ephesians 4:30). Come under the right Church leadership; this may be the answer to your confusion and frustration.
There is a green pasture where God has planted you (Psalm 68:6, 92:13). You need to get out from under whatever wrong influence you might have been under and locate yourself in God and in the right leadership. We are not called sheep because we are stupid. We are called sheep because we follow leadership (John 10:27). Never forget this!
