In school, I met someone who carried a rare kind of grace. While others were struggling to avoid carryovers, he was cruising with 90As. The moment I noticed it, I moved closer. I told myself, “There’s something here I need to learn.” I spotted grace and maximised it.
Friend, learn to spot grace. One of the signs of grace is that difficult things become easy. When things that should be simple keep feeling difficult, it’s often because grace and wisdom are missing. When grace is working, people will ask you, “How are you pulling this off?” Nothing is difficult by default. It depends on what is working for or against you.
Learn to spot grace and partner with it. Be quick to recognize grace in a person, people, or places and tap into it (Galatians 2:9). Most people fight Grace rather than partner with it (Genesis 26:12-22). If you want to go far, don’t fight the carriers of grace. Align with them. Celebrate them. You can’t attract what you attack. You only partake of what you appreciate.
Don’t mistake struggle for spirituality. It is not everybody making it that is not doing it right, and it is not everybody struggling that is in the will of God (1 Corinthians 15:10). Not every young man with a good car is into fraud. You can be in God’s will and still struggle. You can also be in God’s will and walk in ease and speed. Stop criticizing people getting results you don’t yet have.
Wisdom reduces efforts and multiplies results (Ecclesiastes 10:10). The higher you aim, the more wisdom you need.
Wisdom gives you strategy. It makes difficult things easy. Doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results is not faith. It is frustration. Wisdom makes difficult things easy.
Where are you currently struggling (Ecclesiastes 10:15)? Where have you enjoyed ease? What wisdom have you despised? Which relationship can you leverage for better results? You don’t have to struggle to get to the top. Sometimes, all you need to do is recognize grace, embrace wisdom, and partner with the right people.
