My worst result on campus came when I tried an unfamiliar method. I usually don’t cram for exams. I love to study, understand, and reproduce effortlessly – it worked for years. But based on what people said about this course, I crammed. The result? I got stuck in the exam hall. It was a woeful performance. I’d used an untested weapon (1 Samuel 17:39).
Friend, don’t use an untested weapon. Relying on one in battle is like going on a suicide mission. This is why people fail in life. Until you overcome the pressure to fit in, you can’t achieve greatness (1 Samuel 17:45).
Don’t let the world mould you (Romans 12:2). The world has its ways, and not following them might make you look stupid. But who the world calls stupid may be smartest to God. Like Abraham, Noah, Daniel, David – you can’t stand out by blending in (Daniel 1:8).
God has a pattern for you. Maturity means understanding and sticking to it despite odds (Isaiah 11:3). Saul’s armour looked great but wouldn’t defeat Goliath (1 Samuel 17:40). What have you tested? What works for you?
Stick to God’s pattern – that’s where grace flows (1 Corinthians 15:10). Life isn’t meant to be a struggle; struggles often reflect misalignment. There’s an unforced rhythm of grace for those following God’s pattern, achieving results effortlessly.
Don’t follow crowds. Follow God, and they’ll follow you (Mark 1:35-37). Stick to God’s pattern. How has He raised finances for you? Stick to it. How has He opened ministry doors? Stick to it. How does He communicate with you? Stick to it. Dancing to the world’s tune makes a caricature of your destiny (Luke 7:31-35). Be instructed!
