Friend, recognizing and appreciating the prophetic aspect of your pastor’s ministry can unlock God’s best for you. A pastor is a heavenly government package for the local church and believers, with various departments of heavenly operations.
Some people undervalue their pastor’s ministry, preferring the words of prominent prophets (Jeremiah 3:15). They nod along when their pastor speaks but erupt in fervor when “famous” prophets minister. This shows ignorance or folly.
A pastor’s ministry may not always be flashy, but it’s supernatural. He may not shout or call people out, but his words can change lives forever. He stays with his flock, identifies with them, and offers guidance.
If you’re a receptive sheep, your pastor’s messages are prophecies for you, his examples are God-sent words, and his counsel is divine instruction. Even his jokes can point to your next level in God. His life is a picture of your future (Isaiah 51:1-2, Hebrews 13:7).
When sheep disregard their pastor’s voice and seek other prophets, they become prey to wolves (John 10:5, 27, Acts 20:26-32). With the right pastor, your life is settled if you follow (Psalms 23:1-6).
Pastors, magnify your ministry! Don’t be intimidated – do your work thoroughly, pastor prophetically, and provide guidance for God’s people (Romans 11:13).
