During the inauguration of our church branch recently, my message was streamed live to the headquarters and other branches. I humorously told the people: “As long as I’m here, this branch becomes the headquarters.” The Holy Spirit reminded me that God’s kingdom isn’t tied to a specific location – it’s wherever God is present. The kingdom is about the King, not just the domain.
Friend, the kingdom of God is not tied to a place. It is a presence (John 4:19-24). It is wherever God is. God is not just in heaven. He is inside you as a believer. He exercises His influence and power through you. Therefore, you carry God. You carry His kingdom wherever you go (Matthew 12:28). When you step into a place, the kingdom of God has stepped into the place.
Aside from salvation and the Holy Spirit, the message of the kingdom is the most important message anyone can hear (Matthew 24:14). This was why John the Baptist came to announce the kingdom. Jesus preached the kingdom. Apostle Paul and other apostles preached the kingdom. If you don’t learn about the kingdom, you would operate less than your destiny (Luke 16:16).
When you got saved, you did not just receive Jesus into your life. The kingdom of God came to be domiciled in you (Luke 17:21). The presence and power of God are to find expression in and through you. You are not to go about looking for those. You only need to give them expression (Romans 14:17).
The kingdom of God is expressed in His presence, power, and purpose. These are the forces that came inside you (Psalm 16:1-11). Indeed, you are loaded. You only need to acknowledge or stay conscious of these good things that dwell in you (Philemon 1:6). You should live from the consciousness of the kingdom daily. You cannot be stranded.
The reality of the kingdom inside the believer is God’s strategy for reaching the world (Matthew 5:13-16). God disguises Himself in His people to penetrate systems and places. That is what it means to be an ambassador of Christ. You are His representative on the earth. Carry Him everywhere and reveal Him to everyone (2 Corinthians 5:20). The kingdom of God is within you.
