My spiritual father once shared with us how they got to build one of their earliest buildings. God simply told him while in fellowship; “Son, get to site.” According to him, building was not on their agenda at that time. But at the instance of God’s word, they swung into action. That structure was built in a month.

Friend, God does not normally tell you to do what is on your agenda but what is on His agenda. This is one truth you must be conscious of as you walk with the Lord. A lot of people have missed their destiny because of lack of alignment with divine agenda. Our own plan or agenda are often based on what we can see or what we know. God’s plan or agenda is based on something beyond the here and now (1 Corinthians 2:9).

“He has made every thing beautiful in his time…” (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Timing is the secret to beauty. Nothing is as powerful as an idea whose time has come. It may not be your time; it may not be when you think it should be, but when God wants it to be. You need to be flexible as you follow God. You also need to follow Him sheepishly knowing that He has everything all planned out (Psalms 23:1, Ephesians 1:11, 2:10).

Destiny is not mathematics. It does not walk by calculation but by revelation (Galatians 2:2). When you catch a revelation of a divine plan, let your human calculation or plan queue behind it. When you allow what you know in your head to come in between what you have in your heart or spirit, you are simply preparing yourself for a shipwreck (Acts 26:19).

When God moves, everything moves with Him including men and provisions. When you move with God, things move with you and for you. Surely, goodness and mercies would follow the man who is following God. Goodness and mercies are part of the entourage of God (Psalms 23:6). A man of destiny is not necessarily a smart person; he is simply a submitted person (James 4:6-7).

This season, get in tune with what God is doing in and around your life now (Luke 19:44). Pray yourself into alignment. Make the right adjustment if and where necessary. Being flexible with God is a major secret to unending progress in the journey of destiny. There is something God is saying and doing now in your life; may you be able to see it as you experience newness all the way in Jesus name (Isaiah 43:18-19).
