A preacher once asked his congregation, “What’s the most important word in the Bible?” After several guesses, the answer surprised them: “Continue.” He explained, “If you won’t continue, there’s no guarantee you’ll achieve anything meaningful.”

Friend, you need to continue. If you don’t continue, there is no way you are going to finish well in life (Matthew 24:13). Really, it is not he who starts that has done well. It is the one who continues till the end (Luke 22:28-30). What have you started that you need to continue with?

The Bible is filled with people who decide to continue despite their challenges and mistakes (Hebrews 11:32-40). Your mistake is not what defines you. Your decision is. If you won’t give up on yourself, God has not given up on you. If you don’t quit, you will soon win (Judges 16:22-30).

It is easier to continue what is wrong than to continue what is right (Proverbs 14:12). The devil will always sponsor your failure, but you need to take responsibility for your success. Whatever begins as a miracle in your life would be sustained by responsibility (2 Kings 7:1-11).

Decide not to start what you are not planning to finish (Luke 14:28-30). This is what it means to count the cost. Make up your mind to finish what you start despite the challenges and oppositions. Don’t live life trying things out. Decide to finish (2 Timothy 4:6-8).

You need to continue. Continue your prayer and fasting (Acts 2:42). Decide to continue your relationship or marriage as ordained by God. Continue that business. As a pastor, continue your ministry. Don’t let anyone or anything stop you. True disciples are those who continue (John 8:31).
