My son needed biscuits, so I sent him to get some from his mum. He came back empty-handed, so I told him to try again. This time, I listened to his conversation: “Mummy, give me buscuit.” Still no biscuits. I said, “Tell her Daddy said she should give you biscuits.” He returned smiling with some biscuits in his hand. I realized something powerful: “Always go in the name of Jesus.”

Friend, always go in the name of Jesus (Psalm 20:7-8). The truth is, you might know how to talk, convince people, or negotiate, but none of this compares to what the name of Jesus can do for you. Apart from the Holy Spirit, a major asset Jesus left us with was His name (John 14:13-14).

Knowing how to use the name of Jesus will change your reality in life (Mark 16:17-20). If you got saved in the name of Jesus, you will always live in safety and success in His name (Proverbs 18:10, Acts 4:12). Some people are so confident in their surname that they trivialize what Jesus’ name can do for them.

Your surname can open doors for you on earth, but it’s only the name of Jesus that can command possibilities for you in the spiritual realm (Psalm 24:7-10). When life or the devil challenges you, don’t mention your surname – mention the name of Jesus. If you have His name, you have everything.

Peter and John did not boast about the money they had in their bank account; they simply relied on the name of Jesus (Acts 3:6-8). In whom do you trust? Do you trust in your certificates, background, beauty, or grammar? All those will fail, but Jesus’ name won’t. When you call the name of Jesus, the anointing flows (Song of Solomon 1:3).

Christ is not Jesus’ surname; it’s a description of what the name carries – the anointed One and His anointing (Acts 10:38). The anointing flows when you call that name, and it’s the anointing that makes the difference, not your ability. Like my son, go in the name of the One who sent you (John 20:21).
