When I was young, there was a particular season in my family that things were tough for us financially. But we made it through. My mum would grab old bottles from around the house, sell them, and use the money to get food – and even start little businesses that made more money. That taught me to see the “miracle in your house” – finding opportunities in everyday stuff.

Friend, there is a miracle in your house (2 Kings 4:2). Most times, people look everywhere except their house and space when trusting God for miracles. It is unlike God to place what belongs to you beyond your reach. If it seems beyond your reach, it may mean that your eyes are not yet opened to see it (Proverbs 21:20). When your eyes are opened, you will see miracles in what others overlook.

Whenever you think of miracles or divine blessings, always think of what’s in your heart, hands, and house (Exodus 4:2-5). This trio will unlock possibilities beyond your imagination. There is an idea in your heart. There is a skill in your hands, and there is a substance in your house that can turn your life around (Psalm 126:1-6). You need to see it.

People often overlook what they have (John 6:8-9). Sometimes, we value what other people have while neglecting what we have. If you hold what you have with a defective mindset, it won’t bring you the miracle you desire. Like the parable of the talents, some people have buried their gifts and skills (Matthew 25:18, 25).

The greatest prayer you can ever pray is the prayer of sight. Like blind Bartimaeus, you need to stop begging for alms and start asking for sight (Mark 10:51-52). If you can see, you would not be poor. Perhaps the exploits of Apostle Paul could be traceable to his constant prayer for enlightenment. You also need to pray for light (Ephesians 1:17-18).

The businesses that have made billionaires out of some people were once overlooked by others (Proverbs 29:13). You need to realise that when an idea occurs to you, the same idea is occurring to a dozen others. It depends on who sees the possibilities in the idea and acts fast. When God says you will not be stranded, it means He already positions who and what you need around you (John 5:5-9). There is a miracle in your house.
