There’s this story of a dear brother who went for a job interview. As he sat in for the interview that day, he was not too sure of what to expect. Several hundred thousand people applied for the multinational job. But something happened that surprised him. One of the interviewers took interest in the school he graduated from. Fortunately, his son also attended the school. He got the job.

Friend, you need the gift of men. Men are God’s hands. God uses men to fulfil His will and counsel in our lives. He positions people along our paths in destiny to move us from being a wanderer in the field of life to becoming a wonder in life and destiny. Joseph was only a wanderer until his own man found him (Genesis 37:15).

Prayerfully trust God for encounters with the people whom God has planted along your paths in destiny. You need to be sensitive enough to recognize and see them for who they are. You need to trust God for eyes that see, ears that hear, and heart that knows. You need to trust God for the miracle of divinely ordered steps (Psalms 37:23).

Don’t look down on any man so you won’t miss God. There is the mystery of men like angels and angels like men (Hebrews 13:2). A lot of people miss God by looking away from the men He has sent to their lives. Abraham would have missed God’s visitation if he had maltreated the men that passed by him (Genesis 18:1-16).

You need to honour all men (1 Peter 2:17). Let honour and respect always go ahead of you. Give honour to whom honour is due and to whom honour is not due (Romans 13:7). No matter who people are; their class, status, age, gender or what have you, honour them, appreciate them, and celebrate them.

Be quick to help others. Have a good attitude towards people. Stop fighting God, thinking that you are fighting men (Genesis 32:24-30). Learn to see God in men. Learn to see destiny in seeming normal or casual circumstances. Walk in high level wisdom and sensitivity (Colossians 4:5-6). You need the gift of men.
