One of the powerful statements I heard from a popular man of God is this; “I’m not surprised at where we are today. I’d have been surprised if we were not here.” That statement taught me early in life to value the principle of seed time and harvest. I think you should value this principle, too.
Friend, life is about times and seasons (Daniel 2:21). One of the most important things in life is the ability to understand times and seasons. This is the major difference between successful people and failures. It is what separates the rich from the poor and leaders from followers. Indeed, God must teach us to number our days (1 Chronicles 12:32, Psalm 90:12).
There is the reality of seed time and harvest. This is not just a fact. It is a principle that God has put in place to govern life and outcomes of people in life (Ecclesiastes 3:1). There is nothing you can do against it. You only need to align yourself with it. Principles are no respecter of people, age, or race. Anyone, anywhere, can benefit from it (Acts 10:34-35).
Most people talk about harvests; success, breakthroughs, miracles, etc. But very few pay attention to seed (Ecclesiastes 11:6). It is seed that determines harvest. Instead of bothering about how and what your harvest would be like, focus on how and what your seed is. If you don’t like your harvest, change your seed (Galatians 6:7).
You cannot reap what you don’t sow, though you can reap where you did not sow. Trying to reap what you have not sown is a kingdom fraud (Ecclesiastes 11:3). Life is fair. It would give you what you put into it. God is just. He would not cheat you. The seed principle would help you to be in charge of your own outcomes in life (Galatians 6:9). It makes life predictable and success repeatable.
Your seed is tied to time, but your harvest is not (Genesis 8:22). You can reap multiple harvests from one single seed. But if you miss your seed time, you have already missed your harvests. Learn to recognise your seed time in career, business, ministry, and marriage (Ecclesiastes 3:11, 9:11-12). If you sow the right seeds early enough, it would guarantee a future of no regrets.
