Years ago, as I ministered in church, I gave a prophetic word; “There is a job for you this week, go and get it.” One of our members left the service with that word. The next day, she entered an office telling them she needed a job. They first responded with the usual line; “Did you see any vacancy here?” Some minutes later, they created a space for her and employed her same day.
Friend, nobody rewards intentions. People only reward actions (Proverbs 12:24). There is no award for what you are planning to do. Until you do it, it will only remain in the realm of imagination. When you take action, invisible forces will begin to work in your favour. The anointing is not for decoration. It is for manifestation (1 Samuel 16:13-21). Favour only works for those who work.
Like Ruth, the Boaz that would change your life and connect you to your destiny is waiting for you in the field (Ruth 2:1-5). You only postpone your destiny of greatness when you make excuses. You only make God powerless in your life when you refuse to do something with His power. God is unlimited, but He can be limited in your life through your attitudes and actions (Psalms 78:41).
Don’t let fear cripple your destiny (2 Timothy 1:7). Most times, what you are afraid of is also afraid of you. It depends on who acts first. This was why David did not wait for Goliath to approach him. He ran towards Goliath (1 Samuel 17:48). When are you going to face your fears? When are you going to run towards your Goliath? Your Goliath is not your problem. It is your opportunity.
God wants to show Himself strong on your behalf this season, but you have got to show up (2 Chronicles 16:9). Like the four lepers, you need to provide what God will amplify and multiply in your life. God’s grace must meet with man’s responsibility for miracles to be birthed (2 Kings 7:3-8). You need to take responsibility for your divine prophecies and promises.
If you want God to order your steps, then you need to take steps (Psalms 37:23). Signs only follow those who make moves (Mark 16:20). Miracles only await those who step out. Like Peter, you can continue to admire Jesus on water, or you can dare to join him (Matthew 14:28-29). The power of God only works for those who take steps in the direction of the purpose of God.
