Role summary: The Social Media Assistant is responsible for creating and implementing the church’s social media strategy, developing engaging content, and managing online presence. He/ she will foster online community engagement, track analytics, and collaborate with church media team to promote church programmes and activities. This role will promote a strong brand by telling a compelling story that will attract, engage and reach various defined target audiences
Specific duties and responsibities.
Contents and Social media
- Develop engaging content for a variety of audiences that is consistent with our church guidelines.
- Keep up to date and be informed about all aspects of Destiny Impact church’s work.
- Extract copies, relevant content, and deploy across all approved platforms, including the websites, emails, funnels, and other marketing communications channels.
- Identify and develop content on new media that engages savvy internet stakeholder audiences and aligns with the church corporate objectives.
- Ensure Destiny impact church media recognition, presence and dialogue on appropriate sites including the church’s websites, emails, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Tiktok and other similar sites..
- Serve as new media champion within Destiny Impact Church and promote active staff adoption of social media for connection and collaboration.
- Generate the right conversations and engagement for Destiny impact church events and programs on social applications as needed.
Advertising.
- Maintain our presence on sister organization’s sites, keeping all messaging current.
Reporting
- Monitor, report and analyze results to improve performance, using tools such as Google analytics and others.
- Monitor and track Destiny Impact church on media platforms, provide on-going analysis and reports to the stakeholders.
Email Marketing:
- Plan and manage a regular schedule of email marketing activity,
- Grow our subscriber base and create engaging, relevant content including testing to optimize results.
Others:
- Develop qualitative, audience tailored content for Destiny impact Church media platforms.
- Ensure all creative such as videos, pictures, graphics, copies and scripts have adequate representation of the Daystar brand.
- Submit periodic audit reports with appropriate recommendations for improvements.
- Any other duty maybe assigned. .
Requirement.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, social and digital media, marketing and advertising, public relations, or similar fields is essential.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in social media management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, teamworking, and networking skills.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain high discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
- Proficiency in video editing software is an added advantage (Adobe Premiere Pro, etc.)
- Ability to multitask and work together with a team.
- Integrity and professionalism.
