Years before I finally gained admission into the university, some of my friends were already in school. We left secondary school at the same time, but somehow, they entered university before me. I remember each time they came home for the holiday, I would go visit them and ask about campus life and the likes. I refused to be intimidated by their status. I knew my time would still come.

Friend, your time will still come. When it is your time, it would be your turn. Life is turn by turn (Esther 2:15). God’s blessings would still go round if only you could be patient and go through your own process with God (Acts 10:34-35). Your season may be different from that of your friend. But your own season would soon come (Ecclesiastes 3:1, 11, Habakkuk 2:3)

When God is blessing your neighbour, it means that God is in your neighbourhood. Rather than thinking that God is far from you because of your neighbour’s testimonies, why not rejoice because He is close enough to bless someone close to you. It is only a matter of time it would be your turn (Luke 1:34-47).

Rejoice with those who are rejocing (Romans 12:15). You are simply sowing seeds of your own celebration (Galatians 6:7). If you cannot rejoice with others, you will stay longer in the wilderness of life. Sometimes, what God plans to do for you, He would first do for your neighbour to test your heart and reaction.

One way to fast-track your own manifestation is to be part of what God is doing in someone else’s life (Ephesians 6:8). Did your friend just get a car? Buy fuel for him. Is your close friend getting wedded while you are still single? Pay for his wedding suits or her wedding gown. Is your friend involved in a building project? Sow a seed into that project even if you are yet to own a land.

Stop the envy. Life is turn by turn (Psalms 102:13). God does not rub you to bless others. Someone else’s success does not threaten your own success. We can all get what we need from God without bankrupting Him. God has more than enough to go round. He is the Elshaddai, the all-breasty one (Ephesians 3:20). In God, we can all shine. In God, we can all experience the miraculous. Nobody needs to go down for you to go up. Life is turn by turn.
