You cannot be singing “Standing on the promises of God” while all you are doing is sitting on the premises. This statement inspired me greatly as I sat under a man of God. I learnt to translate God’s promises to practical tangibility in my life.
Friend, God’s will is for you to prosper (3 John 1:2). In fact, all you need to prosper has been made available via the finished work of Christ (2 Corinthians 8:9). But it is your responsibility to make your way prosperous. This is part of the insights from the instructions that God gave to Joshua (Joshua 1:8). That same instruction is still valid for us today.
Stop waiting for God to prosper you. He has done His part through redemption (Ephesians 1:3). You need to do your own part. You need to make your way prosperous. You need to know how to bring practicality to the spiritual side of your relationship with God. You need to know how to engage biblical principles that can translate the covenant into an experience (Acts 16:30).
Nothing spiritual will manifest on the earth without a body to function or manifest through (Hebrews 10:5). This was why Jesus had to come in bodily form in order to bring salvation to humanity. Failure to provide a body or platform for our spiritual blessings to manifest is the reason for the struggles in the lives of a lot of people today (1 Corinthians 15:46).
Most times, we are waiting for the blessing to manifest without the body (2 Kings 4:2-3). This would not work. No aeroplane can land anywhere on earth without the right infrastructure. If you don’t put the right infrastructure in place, God will withhold the blessing from manifesting practically (Genesis 2:5). Actually, it is the infrastructure you provide that would determine what can land on your life.
Make your way prosperous by providing a body of work. Work is the vehicle for transmitting spiritual blessings into materiality (Ephesians 4:28). Put the right structures in place. Structures are like containers that determine the size and shape of your prosperity. Your structures are a reflection of your expectations (Luke 5:4-6). Learn how to make your way prosperous.
