A wise man once said, “I’m not surprised at where we are today. I’d have been surprised if we weren’t here.” This statement stuck with me, teaching me to understand the principle that governs life. I learned that God is not a respecter of persons.
Friend, God is not a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34). He is a respecter of principles. The principles of God are what make us principals in life. The principles have been put in place to guide our journey and determine our outcomes in life. For every divine promise, there is a principle to live by (Acts 16:30).
You cannot be breaking principles and claiming promises (Ecclesiastes 10:8). Actually, you cannot break principles. It is principles that would break you if you don’t abide by them. You cannot be singing “standing on the promises” while sitting on the premises (Hebrews 11:8).
Sometimes, people wonder why unbelievers or those they don’t consider spiritual have results in certain areas while they struggle (Ecclesiastes 10:7). They have forgotten that the basic principles by which the earth runs are applicable to both believers and unbelievers (Genesis 8:22).
The earth does not consider the religious leanings of the one who sows in it (Proverbs 22:29). The principle of sowing and reaping is one major secret of success on the earth. It controls everything you see around. Notice Jesus emphasis on the parable of the sower (Mark 4:13).
As Christians, our advantage over unbelievers is combining the person of Jesus with the principles of Jesus (John 2:1-5). But the person of Jesus without His principles won’t deliver results. You cannot be calling Jesus Lord without doing what He says (Luke 6:46). God is not a respecter of persons.
