I recall when my daughter was asked to plant seeds at home for school. Every morning, she rushed to check for leaves. After days of seeing nothing, she wanted to uproot them. I stopped her and said, “Keep watering, just give it time.” Days later, the leaves sprouted, and her joy returned.
Friend, you need to embrace the process. The future does not belong to the man doing it quick, but to the man doing it right. Are you called to ministry? Then, settle down to its demands (1 Timothy 4:12-15). You must build a strong prayer life, a studious life, and preach faithfully again and again without getting tired.
As a pastor or visionary, don’t be discouraged by temporary setbacks (Micah 7:8). Be faithful preaching to two or three today if you want to reach multitudes tomorrow (Matthew 18:20, Luke 12:32). God uses these days of small beginnings to test your loyalty and prove your commitment (Zechariah 4:10).
Use your growth season to build capacity and sharpen your skills. This applies to business, ministry, and every field. Like Joseph, the skills you will need in the palace are learned in Potiphar’s house and in prison (Genesis 41:9-14). Stay focused in the process while keeping your eyes on the vision.
Every vision has demands. What you start with excitement, you must continue with commitment (Romans 12:11). Embrace the process and give yourself fully to what your destiny requires (Acts 26:19). If you want to finish strong, you must quickly move from mere excitement to solid commitment.
Remember, before your vision can change anything around you, it must first change you (Romans 12:1-3). Let the vision make you so you can make the vision. Every true vision has a voice and will speak at its appointed time (Habakkuk 2:3). Just give it time and embrace the process.
