My spiritual father once shared the story of how they expanded their radio broadcast reach several years ago. He had desired to get on national radio, but it seemed almost impossible because of the financial implication. The ministry was still quite young. He decided to take a step of faith and approached the station.
The station manager was impressed by his audacity given the part of the country the ministry is cited. To his utter amazement, he gave them a ridiculously cheaper fee than what they had in mind. Till today, a major part of their ministry impact came from that radio ministry.
Friend, don’t postpone your destiny because of money. It has been my opinion for years that anyone who would fulfil destiny must demystify money. Until you reduce money to nothing, you cannot amount to something much in the kingdom (John 6:5-12). On the contrary, a lot of people have made a god out of money. This is why they cannot get God to work with and for them (Matthew 6:24).
Money must not be idolised. It is only a tool to fulfil divine purpose. The greatest need of a man with destiny is not money; it is faith in the living God (James 2:5). Faith would do for you what money can do and much more. Don’t embark on any project only because you have money for it. Do so because you have the faith for it (Hebrews 11:3). There would be times that money would fail, but faith in the living God would always carry you (Genesis 47:15).
I know we are in a money-driven society, but you must not allow money or the lack of it to drive you (1 Timothy 6:10). Let God drive you. Let purpose drive you. Let faith drive you. Don’t always put money first. Begin with divine direction and money would follow (Psalms 23:1-6, 50:10). What are those things you have planned to do in line with God’s purpose for your life? What is stopping you?
Provision is simply pro-vision. It is what is given for the vision (Genesis 22:11-14). Money follows vision. Rather than looking for provision (money), get a vision (Habakkuk 2:1-4). Don’t reduce the size of your dream to the size of your pocket. Rather, dream with the picture of the greatness of God in your heart (Ephesians 3:20). God does not always need money to fulfil His vision for your life. He needs your faith. Faith is seen in divinely inspired steps (Psalms 37:23). What would do you if money is not an issue? Go ahead and do it!
