A man of God shared his story of pursuing a childhood dream to become an electronics professor. However, after prayer, he felt a divine nudge to abandon his plans and dedicate himself to full-time ministry. He continued to resist until God told him; ‘It’s either now or else.’ He promptly surrendered to God’s plan, embracing a new path.

Friend, you need to understand divine interruptions (Amos 7:14-15). God does not normally interrupt His people. He interrupts the devil in their lives. When your life is not going the way you have planned, you need to thrust it to God and trust Him to work all things according to His purpose and plan (Romans 8:28).

If God had answered all your prayers in life, you may not be alive today (Psalm 106:15). There are things you are bent on having, but God knows they won’t do you any good. There are journeys you embark on that you may never return. Blessed is the man who does not continue to push for what God is not giving (Genesis 6:3).

There is a God who orders our steps, but there is also a God who orders our stops (Psalm 37:23). If you have not been stopped at any point in your life, you might be headed towards a ditch. When God stops you, He stops you to align you. He stops you to bring you into His best in you (Acts 9:1-6). He stops you so as to stop Satan in your life.

Sometimes, God would use men to stop you. Like Jacob, the Bible recorded that a certain man wrestled with him, and it turned out to be an encounter
with God (Genesis 32:24-30). This is why those who cannot submit to the authority of man cannot claim to submit to the authority of God. Those who don’t obey man cannot obey God (2 Corinthians 10:6).

Your life would not always go according to your plans or prayers. They would simply go according to divine design (Matthew 26:24). God would keep shifting, pushing, and stopping you until you fit into His ordained plan for your life. This is why the greatest secret of success with God is to surrender to Him (James 4:7).
