One day, my wife came into the room with a brand-new toothbrush. I’ve had it at home for some time, but it hadn’t occurred to me to use it. My toothbrush is still okay, but it’s somehow old. I even struggled with my wife before I later accepted to use the new one. I needed to step into the new. You also need to step into the new.
Friend, you need to step into the new. Most times, we are so comfortable with the old that we don’t want to step into the new (Isaiah 43:18-19). If you continue to romance the old, you won’t enjoy the new. While God is working you to your future, the devil’s plan is to take you to your past (Jeremiah 29:11).
Like my wife, we all need someone in our lives who would help us break free from the past and embrace our future of greatness (John 5:1-9). You need that pastor, mentor, friend, or spouse who would challenge you to step into your destiny of greatness (2 Timothy 1:6).
Like Mordecai challenged Esther to take her destiny in her hands, who’s challenging you towards the fulfilment of your destiny (Esther 4:14-16)? Who’s helping you break out from your comfort zone and step into the waters of your destiny? Esther became relevant to God’s program on earth.
Peter could not have walked on water if not for the summon of Jesus (Matthew 14:28-30). The shore may look comfortable, but that’s not what ships are built for. They are built for the waters. You are not built for the shore. You are built for the waters. You are built for progress and destiny. You need to step into the new (Hebrews 11:8).
The new will call for adjustments (1 Corinthians 9:24-27). It is not like where you were or coming from. Where do you need to make adjustments in your life, career, business, and ministry (SoS 2:15)? You cannot continue to do the same thing the same way and expect a different result. You need to step into the new.
