A young lady excitedly shared her plans to marry a man with her pastor, who wisely asked her to wait and pray about it. After some time, the lady called back in tears, thanking the pastor for advising her to wait. It turned out the man was already married with children and was trying to deceive her. Thank God she carried her prophet along.
Friend, learn to carry your prophet along (2 Kings 6:1-4). Your prophet is that person who brings a dimension of God into your life to support, complement, and balance you. He is someone ordained by God to supply what you need, but you lack, that will make a difference in your life and destiny (John 21:5-6). He provides guidance, covering, and grace needed to make destiny happen for you.
In the New Testament, we are all prophet, but we are also not all prophet (1 Peter 2:9). Every believer is a prophet. Every believer has a dimension of God by the presence and ministry of the Holy Spirit. But not every believer is a prophet. Not every believer is called into the five-fold office of a prophet or pastor (Ephesians 4:11-12). Not every believer has access to some dimensions in God.
There are dimensions in God that are not based on salvation or spirituality. They are based on calling and the election of God (Numbers 12:1-9). Failure to understand this is the reason for frustration in the lives of many believers today. People who say something like, “We are all anointed or prophet of God” are often ignorant or arrogant (1 Corinthians 12:1).
We are all anointed. But we are not all the anointed (1 Samuel 24:6, 26:9). The anointed speaks about someone specially called and graced by God to function in an office. We must recognise and honour such people. Recognising, honouring, and carrying your prophet along does not reduce you. It actually makes you better (2 Chronicles 20:20).
The people of the world know how to maximise their spiritual advantage (Luke 16:8). Believers must know and do better. There are things you cannot see, perceive, or do on your own. This is why you need to carry your prophet along. Not every prophet is your prophet. Know your own prophet and carry him along (2 Kings 2:1-3). You will succeed.
