A man of God had a visitation from Jesus. But in the middle of their conversation, a demonic presence showed up and interrupted them. The man expected Jesus to rebuke the demon. But Jesus didn’t. Afterwards, he asked, “Lord, why didn’t you deal with it?” Jesus answered, “You have the power to rebuke it. Use your authority.”
Friend, you need to walk in your authority (Luke 10:19). The power of God is not just in God’s mouth. It’s in God’s Word. When you put the Word of God in your mouth, the power of God begins to work in your life (Revelation 12:11). While you may be waiting on God, God is also waiting on you.
Authority is the legal right to use power (Matthew 10:1, John 1:12). If you refuse to use your authority, you will live as a victim here on earth. That’s why understanding matters (Psalm 82:5-6). Many believers are ignorant of who they are and what they carry in Christ.
The devil’s greatest weapon is the ignorance of believers (2 Corinthians 2:11). Understanding is not automatic. It comes through accurate, consistent, and continuous learning of the Word (John 8:31-32). Wrong teaching can be more dangerous than no teaching at all.
We operate in dominion through the name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus, and the Word of God (Philippians 2:9-11). The name of Jesus carries grace and power. Demons tremble at that name. Situations bow to that name. Everything in heaven, on earth, and under the earth submits to the name of Jesus (Luke 10:17).
“It is written” is a weapon that silences the enemy (Luke 4:4). Invest time to know and declare what God has written concerning you. You are seated far above principalities and powers. You are the head and not the tail. You shall not die but live to declare the works of the Lord (Psalm 118:17). You are blessed and highly favoured. Amen!
