When I was on campus, I use to have this audacious confession about my academic success. It does not matter what the course looked like, I would always say that “I have passed this course already.” Some of my classmates would intentionally hang around me to receive some “faith boost” when exams are approaching. They knew it would always come out just as I have said it.

Friend, your confession is your possession. Your confession must be superimposed on your condition so that your position in Christ can become your possession in life. You will not have what the devil says or what circumstances are saying. You will not even have what God says. You will have what you say (Mark 11:23-24). Your words must align with God’s word, else, your life will not manifest God’s will.

“When it comes to the secret of success and prosperity, God told Joshua that, “this book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth…” (Joshua 1:8). I think most times, people read this scripture to mean, “this book of the law shall not depart out of your mind…” You see, it is not the word of God in your mind or heart that changes you, it is the one in your mouth. The Bible was spoken to be written and it was written to be spoken.

Your life of confession is so important that Jesus promised to give you, “….a mouth and a wisdom…” (Luke 21:15). The truth is, a closed mouth is a closed destiny. Your words are the carriers of life or death (Proverbs 18:21). Successful people know how to use their words to construct their lives while failures ignorantly use their words to destroy their lives. Your life will follow your mouth. You need to put your mouth where your success is.

As you go into today, I want you to start putting the word of God in your mouth. Enough of confessing what life is saying. Enough of amplifying with your mouth what the devil is saying. It’s time to use your mouth to say what you want. In the physical, we receive with our hands, but in the spirit, we receive with our mouth. This is why we need to use our mouth to say, “Amen” to the promises of God because the cross of Jesus Christ has already said “Yes” to them (2 Corinthians 1:20).

If I were you, I would go into today using my mouth to say, “Yes” to all of God’s promises for my life. I would say “Yes!” to life, health, success, miracles, testimonies, victory and all round blessings. I would go ahead to confess what I want to see not what I am seeing (Job 22:29). Like God, I would say, “let there be…” (Genesis 1:3). I would activate my angels to work for my good by mobilizing them with my words (Psalms 103:20, Hebrews 1:14). Your destiny is in your mouth, release it or cage it!
