Someone said sometime ago and I think I agree with him that; “People often prefer an anointing that heals their sickness to the one that prevents them from falling sick. One is called Power, the other is Wisdom.” Wisdom is an anointing.
Friend, wisdom is an anointing. We must understand the total counsel of God as far as operating in the fullness of God’s blessings on earth is concerned. While some jettison the display of power, others disparage those that dispense wisdom. But we need to remember that Christ is both the wisdom and power of God (1 Corinthians 1:24).
“…Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God” (1 Corinthians 1:24). There is the power side of Christ, and also the wisdom part. Both are manifestations of His anointing. While one may shout, the other does not. While one can cause you to fall down and rise again, the other would put substance in your spirit and mind to prevent you from falling in life. Both are expressions of the same Jesus and are equally important.
“And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him…” (Deuteronomy 34:9). Notice that while Moses operated primarily in the power side of the operations of God, the ministry of Joshua, his successor, was marked by wisdom. Both are expressions of the move and program of God at that time. The man that operated in power transmitted wisdom to the one who needs it via the laying of hands (Deuteronomy 34:9).
A true man of God is not just one who delivers you by displaying power but one who also empowers you by dispensing wisdom. Actually, what you get by power manifestation would be sustained and preserved by wisdom operation. Wisdom would also prevent you from running into problems that may later require power demonstration (2 Kings 4:1-7).
“…the spirit of wisdom and understanding…” (Isaiah 11:2). Pursue power like your whole life depends on it but never jettison wisdom. Treasure prayer meetings dearly but don’t despise the teaching of God’s word (2 Timothy 3:15). Attend meetings where the healing power is administered but don’t jettison teachings that would keep you healthy. Go for financial breakthrough prayer service, but don’t neglect finance and business seminars. Balance is key!
