I was listening to a teaching one day when the preacher said something that has stuck with me till date. He said; “People value the anointing that solves their problems more than the anointing that prevents them from having problems. If you would go far, value the anointing that prevents from problem; value wisdom.”
Friend, there is the power side of our walk with the Lord and there is also the wisdom side. When you get born again, you receive Christ both as the Power of God and the Wisdom of God (1 Corinthians 1:24). Wisdom is a form or dimension of power. You must embrace both the power and wisdom of God as forces that make for progress in life and destiny.
A truly great man of God is one who delivers you by the power of God and also empowers you by the wisdom of God. While power frees us from life’s problems and challenges, wisdom empowers us to avoid problems and to live problem-free. In fact, some problems will be solved not by the display of power but by the operation of wisdom.
It’s amazing to know that while power was the critical force behind Moses’ leadership success, wisdom was the force behind Joshua’s even though he was the successor of Moses (Deuteronomy 34:9). While Moses’ leadership in Egypt and the wilderness was carried out by the display of God’s power, Joshua led the people into and in their inheritance by the operation of God’s wisdom.
Learn to balance the pursuit of power with the acquisition of wisdom. When God’s wisdom is operational in your life, you become a mystery to the devil and immune to the problems and challenges of life that people are often trapped in (Luke 21:15). There is a web of wisdom which the lord wants you to wrap yourself inside that would guarantee smoothness, safety, swiftness and success in life and destiny.
Is there anything you are confronted with this season of your life? There is a wisdom in God for it if only you can tap into it (James 1:5). I see you rising in glory and manifesting divine destiny as you tap into the hidden wisdom which the Lord has ordained for your glory (1 Corinthians 2:7)!
