While growing up, we had this landlady who people believed was a witch. Actually, she spent a great deal of time raining ‘blessings’ (I wouldn’t want to say curses) on me. I just ignored her, but kept on my spiritual activities of prayers, worship and the likes. She later complained that she sees me in her dream throwing stones at her. I did not have to face her physically, I simply used my weapon.
“The weapon of our warfare are not carnal…” (2 Corinthians 10:4). In the battle of life you must choose your weapon wisely and know how to deploy it for victory. Perhaps, the reason the devil defeats a lot of Christians today is that he knows his weapons (devices) very well and have mastered how to deploy it. As Apostle Paul admonished, we must not be ignorant of the devices of the devil (2 Corinthians 2:11).
In the Kingdom, the weapon of our victory is such a unique one. Actually, we do not have a weapon in the physical (2 Corinthians 10:4). When you attempt to deal with the devil on the physical plane, he would defeat you. This is why he often wants you to get physical or carnal because that’s where he has an advantage. He wants you to engage in strife, envy, human smartness and all forms of carnal engagements (1 Corinthians 3:3).
Perhaps, David was a man who understood the place of choosing one’s weapon correctly in life’s battles. When he was faced with Goliath, he never attempted to use an untested weapon; he knew he could not win a spiritual battle with a physical weapon. “…And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him…” (1 Samuel 17:39).
Most of your winning weapons in the Kingdom would look ridiculous to the world but it must not look so to you. How would you explain the correlation between marching round the walls of Jericho and the crumbling of the walls (Joshua 6:1-20)? How would you relate singing praises and winning battles against the enemy (2 Chronicles 20:21-26)? What gives us the victory in the Kingdom are often the things that do not look like it in the physical.
You need to revisit the power and potency of your weapon in the Kingdom. You need to know your weapon, own your weapon, sharpen your weapon and deploy it accurately. Don’t joke with worship. Don’t trivialise positive confessions. Never downplay on sowing seeds, and all such weapons prescribed by scriptures or shown you by God. Exercise yourself daily in them. Don’t let the strategy of God look ridiculous to you. That’s how we win battles. Your victory is here!
