It is not difficult to know when children are not feeling too well healthwise. Just watch their attitude towards food. When you notice that you have to force them to eat, especially their favourite meal, you know that something is wrong somewhere. I have come to understand that hunger is a blessing.

Friend, hunger is a blessing. Always remember that there is more in God for you if only you can press in. The problem that God has with His people is being satisfied with a level when He wants to take them to deeper levels (Ephesians 3:20). Till we get to the other side of eternity, we would not yet unravel all the depths and heights of God’s workings in our lives. This is why it is good to keep your hunger high.

Hunger is a major tool for greatness and enlargement in God’s kingdom (Matthew 5:6). Where your hunger stops is where your growth and greatness stop. Hunger does not come naturally. You have got to pray yourself into it. When you are no longer hungry for more of God and in God, check your prayers and your exposures.

There are people you meet and places you go that would not leave you the same (John 1:50). When you company with those who have achieved their best in life, they would cause you to retire to normal life and living. To see greater things, you must meet the Great I Am and also fellowship with those who are still in touch with Him.

Complacency in the kingdom is a sin and a thief of destiny (Amos 6:1). Why would God pronounce “Woe” on a people just because they are complacent? The truth is, a complacent person limits the capacity of God in His life and through His life. When you are complacent, you are not only limiting God in you but also limiting God through you. God wants you to be an extender of His move on earth.

What have you seen in God this year? What have you experienced? What level of fellowship or intimacy have you partaken of? What blessings have you enjoyed? Know that there is more. Don’t shut down yet. Peter and his colleagues were washing their nets when the biggest breakthrough of their lives showed up (Luke 5:1-7). Don’t pack up yet. Don’t give up yet. Don’t rest on your oars. Keep your hunger high this season. There is more. Amen.
